“The US is not dependent on Russian diesel at all”: expert explains why Trump criticizes Ukraine’s strikes

Trump

Political expert and Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko explained why Trump suddenly blamed Ukraine’s strikes on Russian oil refineries for the global crisis and rising prices, and explained who the real enemy is, reports Politeka.

He discussed this in his blog.

According to Trump, the expert says, a significant share of diesel comes from Russia, but Ukraine is attacking refineries, which is supposedly causing a global crisis. However, as reported by Dzerkalo Tyzhnia, he emphasizes, Russia’s seaborne diesel exports amount to 0.8–0.9 million barrels per day, while global demand stands at 28.3 million barrels per day. This means that Russia’s 0.8–0.9 million barrels account for about 3% of global exports, so it is obvious that this cannot have such an impact. Moreover, the expert adds, imports of Russian oil and petroleum products into the United States are banned, while the US itself is the world’s largest diesel exporter.

“The US is not dependent on Russian diesel at all. Who told Trump such nonsense? What does Russian diesel have to do with it? The reason is that the Houthis are carrying out attacks, that Iran is striking an oil pipeline in Saudi Arabia, and that Iran has been running wild despite US strikes. Where is this American power? Let’s see it in the case of Iran. They bombed the Yemeni Houthis, Trump said they had defeated them, but now they are once again threatening global shipping and trade. Radical Islamic organizations supported by the Iranian regime are attacking oil pipelines. That is where the key to solving the problem lies — in the Middle East, not in our actions against Russia,” explains Oleksandr Musiienko.

On the contrary, he emphasizes, Trump should take into account the evidence of Russian-Iranian cooperation and give Ukraine more tools to counter Russia, including the ability to destroy the plant in Tatarstan that produces Shahed and Gerbera drones, which Iran now wants to obtain for use against the US and Israel.

“And what does Ukraine have to do with this? Is this a way of reproaching Ukraine, which refuses to surrender to Russia and is breaking Putin’s regime, and which may achieve greater success against Russia in the war than Trump has achieved in the Middle East? Perhaps it is simply jealousy or some kind of sympathy for the war criminal, murderer and terrorist Putin. But this is definitely not about the numbers. This position does not stand up to any criticism,” concludes Oleksandr Musiienko.
