"There Will Be Groupings Within the EU": Expert Assesses the Possibility of a Baltic-Black Sea Union

Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman explained that a neoconservative revolution is taking place in Europe, particularly in the territory of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire, but Ukraine will form its own group within the EU — the Baltic-Black Sea Union, reports Politeka.
He spoke about this on his blog.
As the expert notes, Ukrainian analyst Oleksiy Kushch called the victory of Babiš’s party in the Czech Republic a neoconservative revolution in Europe, especially in the area of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire. Although many talk about a "European conspiracy of Putin," these radical politicians are not Putinists — they are conservatives.
“That’s how it is. Why do they praise Putin? Because they see Russians as neoconservatives too. That’s all. They are neither pro-Russian nor Putin's agents — they are shaping their own conservative geopolitical landscape. This process will affect Croatia, Serbia, Austria, and parts of Germany. Yes, indeed — there’s also the ‘Alternative for Germany,’ and so on,” Sheitelman explains.
According to the expert, all this is happening while we are still debating whether we will be accepted into the EU or not. Recently, Zelensky stated that Ukraine will join the EU with or without Orban, but there is still an opinion that maybe we won't fit in — maybe we shouldn't even try. Europe is facing a crisis of ideas: not a single European company is in the top 10 largest global corporations. Nevertheless, the expert emphasizes, the idea of forming a sort of Austro-Hungarian bloc is somewhat reassuring — Ukraine will also find its place.
“There will be groupings within the European Union. There will be an Austro-Hungarian grouping, and we will indeed be part of the Baltic-Black Sea Union, as many have dreamed — together with Poland, Romania, Latvia, and Lithuania, possibly Estonia, although they lean more toward Finland and the North. And so we get a Baltic-Black Sea Union. Within the EU, there are essentially different blocs,” Mikhail Sheitelman explains.
