Marco Rubio may combine the positions of US Secretary of State and Trump's National Security Advisor

US State Department Head Marco Rubio is likely to serve as President Donald Trump's national security advisor for at least six months. This is reported by Politico, citing three senior White House officials.
According to sources, Rubio will combine two key positions - Secretary of State and National Security Advisor. One of the officials emphasized that this decision is not a temporary measure.
According to the interlocutors of the publication, Rubio did not seek this role, but agreed to take on additional responsibilities at the request of President Trump and Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. They asked him to strengthen control over the foreign policy direction in the White House.
"He is a classic team player, ready to take on even a difficult or risky case," one of the officials noted.
Rubio’s main task, according to sources, is to ensure stability in the work of the National Security Council and “reorient” its activities so that they fully correspond to the president’s vision. Officials believe that he is the optimal candidate for this role, as he has a good understanding of both foreign policy and internal processes in the administration.
Other interlocutors emphasize that among Rubio’s main advantages are dedication to the cause and honesty in communicating with the leadership.
“You need to have a person who does not promote his own interests, does not create his own empire or manipulate the system, but is completely focused on implementing the president’s agenda,” the source added.
