“Russia is concentrating forces on the front line”: expert says peace talks are a smokescreen

war

Political expert and military officer Oleksandr Musienko said that Russia is only imitating the negotiation process, but is actually preparing for a new offensive, which is confirmed by sources in the US, Politeka reports.

He said this in his blog.

According to the expert, there is an increase in enemy activity on the front line, assaults are being recorded in the Donetsk region, in addition, there is information from the Kharkiv OTU about the escalation in the Kharkiv region. So, he states, the enemy wants to conduct a summer campaign, this will be an offensive in the Donetsk region, in the Lyman and Pokrovsky directions, and the second direction is the task of striking at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the entire front line.

“The US sees that Russia is concentrating forces on the front line for a possible new offensive with the aim of capturing additional territories of Ukraine. This was reported to CNN by two American officials familiar with the latest US assessments,” says Oleksandr Musienko.

According to the expert, Russian commanders are reportedly seeking to form large forces, and the likely offensive will be aimed at capturing further territories in Eastern Ukraine, although Putin will try to capture all the territories he can, up to the outskirts of Kyiv. At the same time, he adds, according to US estimates, it is largely Ukrainian drones and the effectiveness of minefields that are holding back Russian troops, despite their significant advantage in human resources both in the East and in the Kursk region, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine still hold their positions.

“Z-military experts note that with such a rate of losses, in particular in the economy, in the financial sector, in the industrial and production sector, Russia will be in a quagmire by the end of the year, even the North Koreans on the battlefield will not help. But it should be noted here that Russia is still doing its utmost to militarize its own economy, increase the needs for military spending, and not touch them, making them a priority item in the budget. This shows that Putin intends to continue the war, but he needs to be pressured so that he is interested in at least establishing a ceasefire,” concludes Oleksandr Musienko.
