Food prices rose in May primarily in the meat and bread categories, while prices for some cereals and eggs remained stable or even decreased, Politeka reports.

Among oils, there was an increase in the cost of "Oleyna": from 77.03 hryvnias to 79.80 for 850 ml. Semolina remained stable - the average price was 28.61 against 28.65 in April.

Eggs, on the contrary, became cheaper: "Kvochka" (C1, 10 pcs) - from 73.80 hryvnias to 62.90. "Yasensvit" eggs in packages of 10, 18 and 30 pcs either maintained the April level or decreased slightly.

Prices for wheat bread continue to rise: 650 g sliced ​​bread — from 41.53 hryvnias to 43.65, TsarKhlib — from 43.38 to 47.17. Pasta also rose in price — from 34.50 to 35.23.

In general, the increase in food prices in May primarily concerns meat products and bread, while eggs and cereals remain more affordable for consumers.
