“Trapping the occupiers”: an expert explains how the Defense Forces are gradually cutting Crimea off from supplies

Political expert and Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko explained how the Defense Forces, through their strikes, are gradually cutting occupied Crimea off from supply routes in order to demilitarize the peninsula, Politeka reports.
He spoke about this in his blog.
According to the expert, there is good news from Crimea: there has never been such a surge of activity on social media from the occupied territories before, with hysterical calls and criticism of Putin being heard. And the reason, he says, is that several bridges on the route to Crimea in the Armyansk area have been hit, bridges across the North Crimean Canal in the Preobrazhenka and Myrne areas, a road bridge on the Perekop–Armyansk direction, as well as in the area of the settlement of Stavy. In addition, the expert adds, near Armyansk a Russian convoy of about 50 trucks carrying fuel and ammunition was struck.
“The Chongar Bridge in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region is currently unusable for transport due to critical structural damage. The occupiers are trying to establish alternative supply routes, in particular using pontoon crossings. Strikes on logistics routes have already complicated the operations of Russian units. You see how it is? First they hit Chongar, and then they trapped the occupiers. They concentrate everything in one place, and then the Defense Forces of Ukraine strike there,” says Oleksandr Musiienko.
According to the expert, it is perhaps the first time we have had such a mood as in 2022–2023, when everyone was talking about a counteroffensive and about Crimea. Now, he notes, there is no talk of an offensive, but the Defense Forces are cutting off the enemy’s oxygen and disrupting Russian logistics in order to encircle Crimea and demilitarize the peninsula.
“This work has a completely consistent and strategic nature: over the course of several months we have been striking Crimea, taking out Russian air defenses, hitting ammunition depots, military targets, including the Feodosia oil depot and the Kerch ferry crossing, in order to cut Crimea off. We struck air defenses so that we would gain much greater opportunities and capabilities in the future to cut off the occupiers’ logistics. This is producing the desired result. Well, more to come. There is still a lot of work ahead,” concludes Oleksandr Musiienko.
